![]() ![]() The eBay reps I spoke with gave me the run-around when I asked if they could research my original purchase and go after the original seller and/or refund our money. Based on what I've seen on the web (I had no idea there were so many bogus purses for crying out loud!) it appears that we were taken. I asked the rep from kate spade if I could take it to our local store. Next time have the courtesy and decency to help out a clueless guy! Lastly - if this is counterfeit - do I have any recoursewith eBay? The purchase was from several years ago, but they should be able to retrieve the transaction and go after the original seller, no? This incident has really sullied my attitude toward this wrote: And if you're the person who reported me - shame on you for assuming the worst. I BOUGHT THIS ITEM ON EBAY! Why wasn't it flagged before? Why am I being treated like scum? Can someone in the know please take a look at these pics and tell me if I have a legit item or not? In the future, it would help if we as a community of sellers had the common courtesy to send one another a message rather than assume the worst of someone? Thanks for your help. I even went so far as to contact kate spade new York's corporate offices! They would not commit to validating an item's authenticity - or than to gaurantee any item purchased from their site or at a store is authentic. ![]() To whomever reported this to eBay - perhaps instead of assuming I was a criminal, it would have been more helpful to reach out to me to explain why you feel the item is not authentic. I am not some shady street vendor looking to rip people off. I'm a 40-y-o Christian dad who knows NOTHING about women's fashion/purses and is about as forthright as they come. If it is indeed fajke - I obviously don't want to be associated with it. Someone out there apparently reported the item twice, prompting eBay to remove the item. I am not a scammer or a huckster, yet I've been made to feel that way. I've been a member of eBay since 2001 and I have 100% positive feedback. We took advantage of the holiday weekend to clean out our closet (it looked like something from the show Hoarders!) I tried twice to list the bag and both times had the listing removed. I need your help! About four years ago, my wife asjked me to purchase what we believed was an authentic kate spade handbag ON EBAY! I made the purchase ON EBAY and the bag sat in my wife's closet unused ever since. ![]()
